Dell has just released its first ever Alienware Aurora gaming desktop PC equipped with the massively overpowered GeForce RTX 4090 GPU and the latest and greatest 13th generation Intel Core i9-13900KF 24-core Raptor Lake CPU. Fair warning, it isn't cheap.

New Release: Alienware Aurora R15 Intel Core i9 Raptor Lake GeForce RTX 4090 Gaming PC

with Cryo-Tech Watercooling and 1350W Power Supply

New for the 2022-2023 season, the R15 is the most recent iteration of Alienware's Aurora lineup of gaming PCs. This is the first ever Dell PC equipped with both the 13th generation Intel Raptor Lake processor and the RTX 40 series GPU. It's priced well above the budget for most gamers, but that's because Dell picked out the best of the best components. The Intel Core i9-13900KF boasts a turbo-boosted clock speed of 5.8GHz and a whopping 24 cores and 32 threads. It's definitely more powerful than the i9 Alder Lake, and it gives AMD's flagship AMD Ryzen 9 7950X a run for its money.

The RTX 4090 is far and away the most powerful video card you can get right now. No other GPU, either from NVIDIA or from AMD, comes close. As a reference, the RTX 4090 is about 110% faster at 4K gaming than the already impressive RTX 3080. It's about 60% faster than the previous king, the RTX 3090 Ti. That could very well be the single biggest performance upgrade within a single generational gap for the GeForce line of cards. If you're still not convinced, check out our RTX 4090 FE review.

The R15 upgrades the cooling on the processor big time if you opt for the "Cryo-Tech" liquid cooled models (like this one). Whereas the older models used a 120mm AIO cooler to handle the CPU temps, the R15 uses a 240mm AIO cooler. Double the surface area and double the fans should equate to lower and more stable CPU temps. There are three additional 120mm fans in the chassis to provide ample airflow for the video card as well. The R15 is powered by a massive 1350W PSU that should handle anything you can throw at it. Other specs include 32GB of DDR5 RAM, a 1TB SSD, and a 1TB hard drive for additional storage. Like all Alienware PCs, the R15 allows for easy toolless access to the interior, and adding RAM and extra storage will not void your warranty.
