We now have our hands on the Nintendo Switch 2, a new console from one of the biggest names in gaming. Alas, a new console is only as valuable as the library of games you can build on it.

Thankfully, Nintendo hasn't been shy about planned releases over the next year, which include a mix of Switch 2 exclusives, third-party releases, and the benefit of backward compatibility with any games still launching on the original Switch. Without further ado, here are all of the new Switch 2 games we can look forward to in 2026.

All Upcoming Switch 2 Games With Release Dates

Solarpunk (June 8, 2026)

This open world survival game gives you a spread of floating islands to farm and build on while harnessing energy from the wind and sun. How do you travel across said islands, you may ask? An airship, of course. Solarpunk will release on Switch 2 as well as PS5, Xbox, and PC, and will support multiplayer modes at launch.

Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes vs. Villains (June 11, 2026)

Despite what you may have assumed, this is not just your standard "themed" version of Monopoly. Announced in the lead-up to Star Wars Day 2026, Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes vs. Villains lets you pick from an impressive slate of, well, heroes and villains, each with their own unique abilities. The somewhat standard Monopoly element is the pursuit of claiming territory, which, in this case, includes some familiar locations from across the galaxy.

to a T (June 11, 2026)

to a T is coming to a Switch 2 just over a year after its initial launch on PC and other consoles. The narrative-driven game puts you in control of Teen, a young teenager you can customize in character creation, who is always making a T-pose.

Denshattack! (June 17, 2026)

Instead of trying to explain this one myself, I’m simply going to borrow from my colleague Rebekah Valentine’s interview with the developer: “Denshattack! Is Tony Hawk With Japanese Trains, for Train-Lovers, by Train-Lovers.” Yes, it’s awesome.

The Adventures of Elliot: The Millenium Tales (June 18, 2026)

The Adventures of Elliot is a new HD-2D RPG from the creators of Octopath Traveler and Bravely Default. While exploring ruins near his hometown, Elliot discovers an artifact that lets him traverse space and time. From there, you must travel across four ages, each with unique citizens and scenery, to try and save your home.

Star Fox (June 25, 2026)*

Announced in a shadow-dropped Nintendo Direct, a remake of Star Fox 64 is coming to Switch 2 this summer. The game features full overhauls of the graphics and character designs while keeping the OG level designs and, of course, the Team Star Fox banter. If you happen to have a supported Switch 2 camera, you can also live out your V-Tubing dreams with AR character avatars.

High on Life 2 (July 1, 2026)

The High on Life sequel we said offers a “completely foul world of offensive creatures and irreverent antiheroes” in our review is getting a Switch 2 edition this July. While there’s a big emphasis on decision-making, the game’s main focus continues to be on comedy and some fast-paced shooter action. There’s also lots of skateboarding.

Rhythm Heaven Groove (July 2, 2026)

Rhythm Heaven is getting its first new entry in over a decade, and of course composer Tsunku has returned for the ride. Like previous iterations, the game will feature a collection of mini-games that ultimately task you with following the rhythm.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink - Endless Ragnarok (July 9, 2026)

Granblue Fantasy: Relink was originally released all the way back in 2024, with IGN’s own review highlighting “fun action combat and an interesting cast of characters.” This summer, the game will be coming to Switch 2 in a special edition that includes all expansions and bonus content.

Digimon Story: Time Stranger (July 10, 2026)

The latest Digimon Story game was a highlight for RPG releases in 2025, and it's getting its own Switch 2 edition this summer. In his review of the full game on PC, writer George Yang highlights the storytelling as well as “nuances in type matchups and the tinkering you can do with your party’s evolutions and movesets.”

Splatoon Raiders (July 23, 2026)*

The next Splatoon game officially has a release date. The Switch 2-exclusive release will be single-player focused, letting you customize and control your own Mechanic, while supporting up to four players in co-op. It also looks to have a particularly big map that you progressively unlock throughout the game.

Another Eden Begins (September 17, 2026)

From Masato Kato, the writer behind Chrono Trigger, comes Another Eden Begins, a completely fresh RPG that takes you on a journey across the past, present, and future. Recruit companions from a roster of 18 characters to help you take down the Beast King and find your sister. This one’s got a whopping 10 endings on the menu, though I’m sure some of those are reserved for New Game+.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight (September 18, 2026)

The latest LEGO game finally has a Switch 2 release date. LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is truly next level. It blends and parodies classic Batman moments from across all iterations of the caped crusader while also offering a pretty massive plastic version of Arkham to play around in. Even the combat is pretty elaborate, with inspiration from the Arkham games courtesy of development support from Rocksteady Studios.

007 First Light (September 30, 2026)

Yet another massive multi-platform release, IO Interactive's take on James Bond is launching on Switch 2 several months after its initial release on PC, PS5, and Xbox in late May. The game lets you play out Bond's initial recruitment and rise in the MI6 ranks, featuring Patrick Gibson as the titular spy and Lenny Kravitz as the villain Bawma.

ANOMALITH (October 28, 2026)

This third-person action shooter puts you in control of 17-year-old Reona Minazuki, a professional ‘Diver’ that explores deadly ‘Anomaly Zones’ for the government while searching for her lost friend. The Steam listing offers the rather interesting description that the game is “steeped in the atmosphere of liminal spaces and Showa-era retro aesthetics.”

Upcoming Switch 2 Games With Unknown Release Dates

There are plenty more Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 games in development that don’t have a solid release date yet. Here are some more games we know are on the way, including the highly-anticipated 10th generation of Pokémon:
