Deadpool & Wolverine star Ryan Reynolds wants Wesley Snipes' classic Marvel movie hero Blade to get a send-off film akin to Hugh Jackman's Logan.

Reynolds said boldly that 1998's Blade and its sequels created a market for super hero films to exist, and without them there wouldn't be the likes of X-Men or the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

"There is no Fox Marvel Universe or MCU without Blade first creating a market," Reynolds said on X/Twitter. "He’s Marvel Daddy. Please retweet for a Logan-like send-off." His post so far has more than 25,000 reposts.

Logan arrived in 2017 as the final Wolverine film following the story of Jackman's character which debuted in 2000's X-Men, and while Deadpool & Wolverine has now usurped that somewhat, it's still seen as the finale of that specific character's story.

Logan stood out as an exceptional final entry in a series which majoratively received middling reviews, leaving many fans satisfied with the journey Wolverine braved and the legacy he left behind. "Logan is the Wolverine film that many fans have long awaited, but it’s also so much more than that," IGN said in our 9/10 review.

Blade is due an MCU reboot of its own soon but has suffered from myriad delays. A revised script is reportedly being penned this summer, after which Marvel hopes to lock in a director. Perhaps Snipes' can get involved and receive the send off Reynolds and 25,000 other fans are looking for.
