The Flash star Sasha Calle may not be done with Supergirl, and has already met with DC bosses.

During an interview with USA Today, Calle revealed that she’s met with DC Studios boss Peter Safran, who currently runs the DCU alongside James Gunn.

“I hope to continue playing Supergirl,” she admitted. “I love her so deeply and I feel so connected to her.”

After DC hit the reset button on the DCEU, it was revealed that a new Supergirl movie was in the works, based on the comic book series, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.

At the moment, no casting information has been revealed, but it sounds as though Calle is keen to return. She’s even got the approval of her cousin – Superman, himself. Well, a former Superman, at least.

“I was really excited to meet [Henry Cavill]," she told Entertainment Tonight. “I was like, 'What'd you think? Did I make you proud?' and he was like, yeah, yeah. It was in his own words, we obviously have a very different lingo. He was very proper and kind and very glorious.”

As for where the Supergirl movie will go from here, that remains to be seen. However, Calle has some thoughts on that. “I love her so much and I feel her very deeply,” she said. “I think this movie was a runway to a better story for her.”

“I just want to dive deeper into Kara and her feelings into her day-to-day,” she added. “I would just love to see her in regular clothes, in human clothes. As a fan, the whole time that I was filming, I kept thinking, 'What would she wear? What glasses would she wear?' [In The Flash], we don't meet her human, realized self, so as a fan, that would be something very cool.”

IGN’s review of The Flash gave it 7/10 and said: “The Flash is an ambitious superhero movie that largely pulls off its tale of two worlds, two Flashes, and two Batmans. The superhero fan service is strong with this one – perhaps too strong at times – but it never fully overshadows Barry Allen’s genuinely tragic and heartfelt story of grief.”
