At the Google I/O 2023 keynote, the tech giant announced the Pixel 7a, the latest smartphone in the Pixel 7 series.
The Google Pixel 7a features a 6.1-inch FHD+ display and a refresh rate of 90Hz. Pixel 7a also includes 8GB of RAM and features the Tensor G2 — the same processor that is featured in the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. Google notes that the Pixel 7a features a main camera sensor that is 72 percent larger than the sensor found on its predecessor.
In a press release, Google notes that the Pixel 7a will include a 13-megapixel front camera and that the 7a will be the first phone in the A-series to include Long Exposure. This new feature, according to Google, will "add texture and energy when photographing things in motion like Waterfalls."
The Pixel 7a will be available today and costs $499 — $50 more than its predecessor, the Pixel 6a, which launched last year. It will be available in four colors: Charcoal, Snow, Sea, and Coral.
The Pixel 7a was just one of a handful of new information coming out of today's Google I/O keynote.
