Paramount Pictures took the stage at CinemaCon 2023 and shared a ton of new details, clips, and trailers for its upcoming films, including Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One, Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moon, Transformers One, the untitled Smurfs movie, and much more.
IGN was in attendance at Paramount's CinemaCon showcase and this article will share all you need to know about the biggest Paramount movies headed to a theater near you in the future.
Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One Is Releasing Two Days Earlier
Paramount has announced that Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One will now be released on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, which is two days earlier than its original July 14 date. The studio also shared a new trailer and a 20-minute clip from the upcoming film that you can read about below.
Paramount Showed 20 Insane Minutes from Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One
As previously mentioned, Paramount presented a 20-minute clip from Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One to attendees of its showcase at CinemaCon 2023, and it showed the team behind the action-packed franchise is far from out of ideas.
The clip begins in Rome and we see Hayley Atwell's character, Grace, being interrogated by Italian authorities. We then pick up with her in a room with Tom Cruise's Ethan Hunt and we learn she is a master thief who was sent on a job by an unknown client to steal a key that many people are after.
What follows is a high-speed adrenaline-filled chase through Rome that involves stolen police cars, Ethan and Grace handcuffed to each other, gun battles, a very mismatched car chase, and much more.

Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moon Gets a Trailer and New Images at CinemaCon 2023
Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Moon, which stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro and is based on the real events of serial murders of members of Osage Nation in 1920s Oklahoma, has received a trailer and new images at CinemaCon 2023.
While the trailer has yet to be released to the public, Paramount Pictures did share a few new images from Killers of the Flower Moon, and you can see them in the slideshow below.
As for the trailer, it revealed the Osage Nation was forced to move to what was thought to be some of the worst land in all of Oklahoma from their own land. However, they soon find there is an abundance of oil underground and begin to build great wealth that makes those who put them there upset.
DiCaprio's Ernest Burkhart and De Niro's William Hale devise a plan to infiltrate and marry into the Osage Nation to legally steal their wealth, but things don't go as planned and murders start taking place that draws the attention of federal agent Tom White (Jesse Plemons).
Killers of the Flower Moon will be released in theaters on October 6, 2023.
Transformers One Animated Movie Casts Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, and More
Transformers One, the first animated Transformers film in over 40 years, has added Chris Hemsworth as a young Optimus Prime, Brian Tyree Henry as a young Megatron, Scarlett Johansson as Elita, and more.
Transformers One, which will be released in theaters on July 19, 2024, is directed by Toy Story 4's Josh Cooley and will serve as a prequel film of sorts about younger versions of Optimus Prime and Megatron.
Joining the previously mentioned cast members will also be Keegan-Michael Key as Bumblebee, Jon Hamm as Sentinel Prime, and Laurence Fishburne as Alpha Trion.
The team behind Transformers: Rise of the Beasts also stopped by CinemaCon to discuss the new trailer that was dropped today, April 27.
Rihanna Will Star as Smurfette in the Smurfs Movie Alongside Writing and Performing Original Songs
Rihanna will not only be serving as a producer and writing and performing songs for Paramount's untitled Smurfs animated movie, but she will also be starring as Smurfette when it is released in theaters on February 14, 2025.
Paramount announced the news at CinemaCon 2023, and also shared that this Untitled Smurfs Animated Film will be directed by Chris Miller, co-directed by Matt Landon, and produced by Rihanna, Jay Brown, Tyran "Ty-Ty" Smith, and Ryan Harris.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayham Debuts the Full 'All-Star Cast' With a New Clip
Paramount shared a new clip from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayham that showcased the film's "all-star cast," which includes Hannibal Buress (Genghis Frog), Rose Byrne (Leatherhead), John Cena (Rocksteady), Jackie Chan (Splinter), Ice Cube (Superfly), Natasia Demetriou (Wingnut), Ayo Edebiri (April O’Neil), Giancarlo Esposito (Baxter Stockman), Post Malone (Ray Fillet), Seth Rogen (Bebop), Paul Rudd (Mondo Gecko), Maya Rudolph (Cynthia Utrom); alongside Micah Abbey (Donatello), Shamon Brown Jr. (Michelangelo), Nicolas Cantu (Leonardo), and Brady Noon (Raphael).
The clip shows our favorite turtles talking to Apil and asking if she thinks others will accept them as she does, Superfly doing a deal near a bridge, Ray Fillet breaking out into song, the turtles and Mondo Gecko hitting it off, and more.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayham will be released in theaters on August 4, 2023.
The Last Airbender Gets an Official Release Date
The Last Airbender, which is the working title for the upcoming animated film focused on Aang and his friends, will officially be released in theaters on October 10, 2025. The news was previously reported, but Paramount has now shared the official date.
The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants and Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie Take Center Stage
Both The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants and Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie were featured in Paramount's CinemaCon showcase. The new SpongeBob movie, which will be directed by Derek Drymon, will be released in theaters on May 23, 2025. The Paw Patrol movie, which will arrive in theaters on September 29, 2023, received a new trailer and the confirmation that Chris Rock would make a cameo.
Trailer Revealed for Bob Marley: One Love
Bob Marley's son, Ziggy Marley, appeared on stage at Paramount's CinemaCon 2023 showcase to reveal the first footage of the upcoming film. Ziggy will also serve as a producer.
Bob Marley: One Love will be released in theaters on January 12, 2024.
A Quiet Place: Day One Gets a First-Look at CinemaCon
John Krasinski helped share the first footage of A Quiet Place: Day One, which is based on an original idea he had. The film stars Lupita Nyong’o, Joseph Quinn, Alex Wolff, Djimon Hounsou, Denis O’Hare and the clip takes place in a New York City that was just attacked by an unknown alien force.
In the footage, we see and hear the chaos and disaster brought on upon this threat and we see Nyong'o and her cat on a bus that they depart just before it gets cut in half by an alien pod of some sort.
A Quiet Place: Day One will be released in theaters on March 8, 2024.
John Krasinski's Has a Star-Studded Cast That Just Keeps Getting Better
John Krasinski's If is building quite a voice cast for itself, and CinemaCon helped reveal who else will be involved in the film.
The full cast for If, as it stands, is Ryan Reynolds, John Krasinski, Fiona Shaw, Cailey Fleming, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Louis Gossett Jr., Alan S. Kim, Steve Carell, Bobby Moynihan, Matt Damon, Jon Stewart, Emily Blunt, Maya Rudolph, Sam Rockwell, Sebastian Maniscalco, Christopher Meloni, Richard Jenkins, Awkwafina, Vince Vaughn.
If, which is an animated tale about a young girl who can see people's imaginary friends who have been abandoned as they grow older, will be released in theaters on May 24, 2024.
