There are some great video game discounts for you to check out today. You can grab The Last of Us Part I for $20 off, save a few bucks on Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, or get Bravely Default 2 on clearance at Best Buy. Plus, if you missed out on the Tears of the Kingdom amiibo preorder the first time around, the Link figure is back up for preorder at GameStop. These deals and more below.
Get The Last of Us Part I for $20
There are only two episodes of HBO's The Last of Us left this season. If you don't want the journey to end, you can reexperience the original game with The Last of Us Part I remake on PlayStation 5. Originally priced at $69.99, today you can grab the remake on sale for $49.99. It's the best way to play through Joel and Ellie's original adventure with visuals more in line with 2020's The Last of Us Part II. There are also plenty of differences between the game and the show, making it worth a playthrough even if you're fresh off watching the series.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Are Discounted Today
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are discounted $7 today. If you've been waiting to jump into the Paldea region, the latest patches plus the slightly lower price could be enough to entice you. The performance still isn't great, with frame drops and glitches in places, but the game is still an interesting take on an open world mixed with the classic Pokemon formula. Plus the game is getting two DLC expansions later this year which will add even more creatures to the mix.
Tears of the Kingdom Link amiibo Up for Preorder
The Tears of the Kingdom Link amiibo has been going in and out of stock for preorder at most retailers, but luckily, GameStop has the figure up for preorder today. This amiibo launches alongside Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom on May 12, and when scanned it will unlock a special design for Link's paraglider. But beyond that, the figure just looks awesome, with Link's updated TotK design including that mysterious, outstretched hand.
Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration for $10
Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration is an amazing collection of history and Atari games, and it's on sale today for $29.99. While the games may not be amazing today, it's an awesome history museum in video game form of some of the earliest days of the medium. In IGN's glowing review, we said the game includes "glittering artifacts that reveal the magic of the early arcade and console era. With Atari 50, you didn’t have to be there."
Metroid Dread amiibo 2-pack On Sale
Metroid is in right now. Starved fans are feasting this year with the likes of Metroid Prime Remastered and Metroid Fusion coming to Nintendo Switch Online. This is just a year-and-a-half after the excellent Metroid Dread, which brought a sidescrolling entry back to home consoles for the first time since Super Metroid. Metroid Dread got a pretty sweet amiibo double pack, including Samus in her new Dread design, and the fearsome EMMI robot that makes Metroid Dread earn its name. The 2-pack is on sale today, and if you're feeling the Metroid hype, be sure to pick it up.
Get Bravely Default II for $41.99
Some fans are bummed that Final Fantasy XVI isn't going to have turn-based combat. Well fortunately, Square Enix has a couple of different franchises designed to help classic RPG fans scratch that turn-based itch. Bravely Default 2 is one of those games, and it's an amazing modern example of a classic RPG done right. It's on clearance today at Best Buy, and the lengthy runtime absolutely justifies this sale price.
Nintendo Switch OLED Model Is $10
When I upgraded to the Switch OLED a year ago, I had no idea just how much it would change my gaming habits. I was playing on the TV about 80% of the time, only switching to handheld when I was traveling, watching baseball on the TV, or felt like playing in bed. But once I upgraded to the OLED, that balance swung hard in the other direction. I now play in handheld mode almost exclusively, except when I'm playing multiplayer, of course. The screen and sound in the OLED is just that good, and Nintendo's art design is so colorful that it's truly a match made in heaven.
Preorder the Elden Ring Art Book At a Discount
My favorite part about Elden Ring is its art design, so you better believe I'm tempted to preorder the new Elden Ring art book set that's coming out this summer. Whether it's the gorgeous vistas, the haunting bosses, or the intricate designs of the weapons and outfits, Elden Ring is an absolutely stunning game. You can save 10% on each book if you preorder today, securing a nice discount before they ship in July.
Shin Megami Tensei V is 51% Off
Shin Megami Tensei V is a great RPG with "extensive and satisfying party customization, excellent combat, and challenging enemies," as our review said back in 2021. It's an incredibly deep game, and it's practically a steal at the $29 price point it's currently at on Amazon. If you love games like Persona 5 or Soul Hackers 2, you'll probably find a lot to love with SMT V.

PS5 Digital Edition on Amazon Without Invitation
We've seen the PS5 Disc Edition God of War: Ragnarok console bundle in stock at Amazon for a little while now, but the PS5 Digital Edition just came back in stock (without invite) today.. Unlike the gimped Xbox Series S, it has the same power and performance as its more expensive sibling. The only thing missing is the Blu-ray drive. You lose the ability to use physical game media and play 4K Blu-ray movie discs, and that's it.
SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless Gaming Headset with ANC and Dual Swappable Batteries for $280
The SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro is, in our opinion, the best gaming headset of 2023 so far. It combines excellent sound quality with comfortable ergonomics, a high-performance mic, and unique yet extremely practical features. One of the biggest standout features of the SteelSeries Nova Pro wireless headset is the incredible hot-swappable battery system. SteelSeries was generous enough to even includes two batteries; one that's in use in your headset and the other that's charging in the included DAC controller. This way you'll get the best of both worlds: glorious wireless freedom and no waiting to recharge.
Alienware Aurora R14 RTX 3080 PC for $1518.99
Do you want a rig that can handle any game out there at 4K but don't want to spend on a $2500-$4000 PC? This might be a good pick for you. Dell is offering an Alienware Aurora R14 RTX 3080 equipped gaming PC for $1518.99 after $780 in instant discounts and stackable coupon codes: "SAVE150" and "ARMMPPS". This PC is equipped with a liquid-cooled AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-core processor, RTX 3080 GPU, 16GB of DDR4-3200MHz RAM, and a 1TB SSD. The RTX 3080 is a solid GPU for 4K gaming and will completely dominate in 1440p gaming. It's significantly more powerful than the RTX 3070 or the RTX 2080 Ti. It's also a lot more reasonable priced than the RTX 4080. Other features include an 80PLUS Platinum 1000W power supply and a clear side panel to show off your interior.
$50 Nintendo eShop Gift Card for $39.99
You'll need to be a Costco member to get this deal. A 20% discount on a Nintendo eShop gift card is extremely rare. This is an outstanding deal because it comes ahead of Nintendo's upcoming Mar10 day eShop Sale. Several high-profile Switch titles will drop to $39.99 at the eShop at that time (as well as other games on sale), and you can stack your discounts to maximize your savings.
85" Hisense A7H 4K TV for $899.99
The 2022 85" Hisense A7H offers a massive 85" screen size for well under $1K. This TV features a wide color gamut for better displaying HDR (it supports Dolby Vision HDR and HDR10) and although it's not a native 120Hz panel, it's still a good gaming TV thanks to the inclusion of variable refresh rate and auto low latency mode. It uses the updated Google TV smart interface and even includes a voice remote.
Alienware m15 15" RTX 3060 Gaming Laptop for $1078 (m17 17" for $1176)
If you're looking for a capable gaming laptop but don't want to pay much more than $1000, look no further than these Alienware m15 15" and m17 17" gaming laptops. They're equipped with a GeForce RTX 3060 GPU that can handle pretty much any game on the displays' native 1080p resolution with aplomb.
Lenovo Legion 5 RTX 3060 Gaming PC for $899.99
Best Buy is offering this Lenovo Legion 5 gaming PC, which is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 5800 CPU, GeForce RTX 3060 GPU, 16GB RAM, and dual storage (256GB SSD + 1TB HDD) for only $899.99. That's $500 less than buying it from Lenovo direct and, as of this post, you can get it as early as the end of this week. The RTX 3060 is no slouch; its performance is superior to the RTX 2060 SUPER and almost matches the RTX 2070 SUPER in some games. It's perfectly capable of handling pretty much any game available at 1080p resolution.
The GeForce RTX 4090 GPU Is Finally Down to MSRP
The GeForce RTX 4090 GPU is still a difficult card to find without a price markup. There's a good reason for it, though. Despite the considerably higher price tag, the RTX 4090 is a beast of a card that dominates every other GPU out there, including the 4080. Amazon has steadily lowered the price of certain 4090 models over the past month and today, finally, there's an RTX 4080 as the base stock price of $1599.99.
Sceptre 34" 3440x1440 Gaming Monitor for $299.99
This is a new release from Sceptre. This monitor features a 1500R curved VA panel with 3440x1440 WQHD resolution, 1ms response time, and 165Hz refresh rate. It's AMD FreeSync Premium certified (which means it's probably G-SYNC compatible as well). If you're on a budget, you'd be hard pressed to find a better ultra-wide gaming monitor for a similar or lower price.
1TB Micro SDXC Card (Switch Compatible) for $89.99
Note: Price has gone up from $84.98 to $89.99.
Amazon is currently a Micro Center 1TB Micro SDXC card for only $89.99. That's one of the least expensive 1TB Micro SDXC cards we've seen, and it's fully compatible with the Nintendo Switch console. If you've started compiling a collection of digital games, you probably already know just how limited the Switch's base storage capacity. With only 32GB of starting space (and some of it reserved for the OS), you'll barely fit The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Pokemon Sword or Shield, which tap out at 13.5GB each! There's only one expansion slot so you want to make sure you get the biggest card you can afford.
Crucial P5 Plus 2TB PS5 SSD for PS5 for $131.99
Constantly going in and out of stock
Crucial's newest M.2 SSD meets all the requirements for your PS5 SSD upgrade. It supports transfer speeds of up to 6,660MB/s which is well above the 5,500MB/s minimum threshold. Yes there are faster SSDs out there, but if your intention is to put this in your PS5, then that extra speed is worthless because you're bottlenecked by the original PS5 SSD. If you're worried about opening up your PS5 case, don't worry it's very easy. Crucial has an official YouTube PS5 SSD install guide to see you through the process.
Corsair MP600 PRO LPX 2TB "Optimized for PS5" SSD with Heatsink for Only $159.99
Corsair is a very well known brand for DIY PC builders. Corsair makes some of the best gaming products on the market, and that includes solid-state memory like RAM and SSDs. The MP600 Pro is the same super-fast M.2 NVMe PCIe x4 Gen4 SSD that's marketed for enthusiast gaming PC builds. This one is "optimized for PS5" because it includes a rugged preinstalled heatsink that is slim enough to fit in the PS5 bay without any issues. Performance wise, the MP600 Pro matches the best SSDs out there with its 7,100MB/sec sequential read and 6,800MB/sec sequential write speeds.
