We've headed into 2022 and the RTX 30 series video card stock situation hasn't really improved for DIY PC builders. You have to be extremely lucky to score a standalone RTX 3060, 3070, or 3080 video card for your own custom PC. On the other hand, if you opt for the prebuilt PC route, it's considerably easier to secure yourself one of these graphics cards. Retail merchants like Best Buy are starting to more consistently stock RTX 30 series PCs, and manufacturers like Dell, HP, and Lenovo are starting to ship out their PCs earlier. If you go this route, you're much more likely to receive your PC within the month. Also, whereas there's still a hefty price markup for standalone RTX 30 series video cards, you can actually score some decent discounts when you buy a prebuilt PC. We've listed the best prices we've found so far here, and will keep this page updated with more deals.
Dell President's Day Sale
President's Day lands on February 21 this year, but that hasn't stopped Dell from running an early President's Day Sale already with some solid savings on RTX 30 series gaming PCs and laptops. That includes a few Alienware models as well as the new 2021-2022 Dell XPS PC with Intel Alder Lake processor and DDR5 RAM. There's still several days left before President's Day proper, so we'll update this page with more great deals as we find them.
HP Victus Intel Alder Lake RTX 3060 Ti Gaming PC
You won't find a better deal currently for a gaming PC that's equipped with both the powerful Intel Alder Lake processor (best consumer processor out at the moment) and an RTX 3060 Ti video card. Choose the Intel Core i5-12400 for $1174.99 or the i7-12700 for $1424.99. Both prices simply cannot be beat. You'll still have wiggle room to upgrade the RAM and storage, or you can save more money and do the upgrades yourself. Either way, this is a great way to future proof both video card and CPU at a reasonable price.
Lenovo Legion Tower 5 RTX 3060 Gaming PC
The Lenovo Legion gaming desktops are often very highly rated for their build quality. People generally like the fact that Lenovo does not use proprietary components in their rigs, so future upgradeability is much easier done here than in other prebuilt PCs. Lenovo gaming rigs generally also utilize solid cooling, especially for the CPU, even if you opt for the base models. The negative would be that Lenovo Legion gaming PCs generally cost more than other prebuilts, but that's certainly not the case with today's deal.
Amazon RTX 30 Series Gaming PCs In Stock
The following gaming PCs are sold and shipped by Amazon or directly from the manufacturer. Most of these configs ship by the end of the month. Score an RTX 3060 Ti gaming rig for under $1500 or an RTX 3080 gaming rig for under $2500. The stock on these items refresh constantly, so some of the PCs may go out of stock quickly.
Best Buy RTX 30 Series Gaming PCs In Stock
Best Buy has refreshed its inventory of RTX 30 series gaming PCs from ASUS, HP, CyberpowerPC, and more. These gaming PCs have been out of stock most of the time, only coming back periodically. The prices are very competitive with anything you'll find online, but best of all, shipping times are reasonable (usually within the week). It's doubtful Best Buy has a ton of inventory on these models, so pick one up quickly if you're still looking.
New 2021/2022 Alienware Aurora R13 Gaming PC
Unceremoniously dubbed the "R13", Dell's new flagship gaming PC sports a number of aesthetic, quality of life, and performance improvements over its predecessors. In terms of future proofing, the Alienware Aurora R13 is the first Alienware PC to come equipped with the newest 12th gen Intel Alder Lake processors. That's paired with a Z690 based motherboard that accepts DDR5 RAM. This proves that DDR5 RAM actually exists in the wild. Your video card options are great as well; pick your choice of RTX 30 series video card, from the RTX 3060 Ti all the way to the RTX 3090, at your expense of course. Perhaps the best news? According to Dell's website, these configs ship out in early March.
New 2021/2022 Dell XPS Gaming PC
Until recently, Dell's only PC option that offered an Intel Alder Lake CPU, DDR5 RAM, and RTX 30 series video cards was in the form of the Alienware Aurora R13 gaming PC listed above. At a cost of about $2900 for an Intel Core i7 RTX 3080 combo, it's out of reach for many people. Now, Dell has extended similar buildout options to its new 2021-2022 Dell XPS gaming PC. Compared to the previous model, the new Dell XPS chassis is larger in volume (27L vs 19L) and provides more clearance for the CPU and GPU area for much better airflow. That's important because the new Alder Lake processors can run hot under intense loads. Like the Alienware Aurora R13, the new Dell XPS PC features a Z690 motherboard that supports the newest 12th gen Intel Alder Lake processors, DDR5 RAM, and RTX 30 series video cards over PCI-E 5.0. These configs should also ship in February.
New 2022 HP OMEN 40L and 45L Gaming PCs
Not to be outdone by Dell, HP has just updated its lineup of flagship gaming PCs dubbed the 40L and 45L. The 40L and 45L are larger than the previous generation 30L model. Compared to the single fan on the 30L, 40L offers twin fans now at the front of the case, and the 45L has a triple fans. The 45L goes an extra step by placing the rugged 360mm liquid cooling system externally above the case itself dubbed the "Cryo Chamber". That allows for fantastic cooling that rivals enthusiast DIY systems, but at the expense of more vertical height. Components wise, both the 40L and 45L are equipped with the newest Intel Alder Lake processor with Z690 motherboard and RTX 30 series video card.
